Bed Bug Beatdown
Bed bugs are beatable. It takes a real plan, more than one visit, and some help from you.
Signs you've got them
- Itchy bites in lines or small clusters, often on arms, legs and neck
- Tiny dark spots on sheets, mattress seams or the headboard
- Shed skins or pale eggs in seams and crevices near the bed
- Small reddish-brown bugs, about the size of an apple seed
- A sweet, musty odor in heavy infestations
From $150 + tax
1 bedroom $150, 2 bedrooms $250, 3 bedrooms $350 for the first treatment. The second treatment is half the first. A third, if needed, is on the house unless a larger protocol was set upfront because of severity.
All prices + applicable tax. No residential contracts.
Online booking is for Wichita-area addresses. Augusta, Newton, Hutchinson and Salina: call or text to schedule.
How we handle it
Every bed-bug service has a mandatory two-treatment minimum, normally spaced 2 to 3 weeks apart. Eggs hatch on their own schedule, and the second visit catches what hatched after the first.
We treat the mattress and box spring seams, bed frame, headboard, nearby furniture, baseboards and outlets in the affected rooms, and anywhere else the inspection shows activity.
Before we arrive
Prep makes or breaks bed-bug treatment, so we'll send you a detailed list. Expect to wash and dry bedding and clothes on high heat, bag clean items, clear clutter from around beds, and pull furniture slightly away from walls.
Don't move furniture or belongings to another room or another home before treatment. That spreads them.
What it costs, start to finish
| Home size | 1st treatment | 2nd treatment | 3rd, if needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 bedroom | $150 | $75 | Free |
| 2 bedrooms | $250 | $125 | Free |
| 3 bedrooms | $350 | $175 | Free |
All + applicable tax. Severe infestations may call for a larger protocol, which we'll agree on with you before starting.
The 30-day window. If undue activity continues in the treated/offending area within 30 days of service, one touch-up to that area may be provided.
Questions about bed bugs
Why do I need two treatments?
Bed bug eggs can survive a treatment and hatch afterward. The second visit, 2 to 3 weeks later, hits the ones that hatched before they can lay more eggs. That's why two treatments is the minimum on every bed-bug job.
Should I throw out my mattress?
Usually no. Most mattresses can be treated. Throwing one out can spread bugs through the house and onto the curb for someone else to pick up.
Can I sleep in my bed after treatment?
In most cases, yes, and it's often recommended, because it draws bugs out to treated areas. We'll confirm for your situation.
